EU Server Upgrade

Please be advised that we are currently in the process of building a new, and more higher spec'd EU proxy to replace proxy01.eu1.voxalot.com (85.17.19.194)

This new server will be transitioned into our production network within the next few days. The transition should be seamless and we are not anticipating any outages.

Any members that are currently using hard coded IP addresses in their devices are advised to use a hostname instead to avoid an potential outage.

We will announce the date / time once it is confirmed.

Thanks.

Hi guys,

We plan to commence transition to the new server @ 9:00am 17/12 AEDT (10:00pm 16/12 GMT)

Hi Martin,

I cannot register any account with eu.voxalot.com (using port 5060) behind our firewall. Switching to us.voxalot.com (as a test) works fine.
Our firewall accepts traffic from 194.110.67.221 (former eu.voxalot.com).
Connecting straight to Internet (ADSL) works fine can register at eu.voxalot.com.

What IP must I provide my securityteam to accept traffic from eu.voxalot.com now?

Regards, Léon

martin 12-17-2009 08:59 AM

The new IP address is 85.17.212.38

martin 12-17-2009 09:22 AM

The transition is complete. DNS upgrades may take up to 48 hours to propagate. The old server will be decommissioned in 72 hours.

We would like to remind any members that are currently using hard coded IP addresses in their devices to use a hostname to avoid any potential outage.

Just to clarify Martin, does this mean we now go back to eu.voxalot.com instead of proxy01.eu1.voxalot.com?

The latter is working for me at the moment, but I was wondering whether eu.voxalot.com would be more stable.

eu.voxalot.com, us.voxalot.com and au.voxalot.com are the supported host names. Using these names will provide you with fail over support if you are using SRV lookups. The proxy host names will also work however will not provide fail over.

Cannot call iNum numbers through EU server anymore. No issues with US or AU servers. No issues with other calls through EU.

Still doesn't work. What do mean by saying "notify"?
AFAIK, it takes less when a minute to login to https://partners.inum.net and edit Authorized Gateways.

I was not happy to have a disconnected call because of FUP exceeded on proxy01.eu1.voxalot.com. So, what server can now be used to avoid this?

When is this definitely going to be resolved??!!!

I thought Voxalot had an agreement on this with Betamax?!

The IP-address of the old EU-server (85.17.19.194) and the address of the new server (85.17.212.38) are both located at Leaseweb in The Netherlands.
If the old IP-address could be assigned to the new server all "FUP exceeded" and iNum problems would be over.
Hopefully this can be realized soon, so I can switch over from the US-server back to the EU-server.

Sorry this is not possible as the new server is located in a different sub net.

It would appear so.

We just got notification that it is now working. Apparently we were on of the first iNum adopters and as such did not have an account to log into the iNum portal as the portal was created later.

Voxbone have now created an account for us and we are now able to easily manage our own IP addresses.

That was unexpected ;)

Yes, I can confirm that everything works. Thanks!
