Post SIP address in Voicemail

Hello !

When someone is calling me from another network (123456@gizmoproject.com or 123456@ekiga.net for example), and he is leaving a voice message, I'm getting an email telling me that that person called me. But, I only get the SIP number 123456 without the provider (no gizmoproject or ekiga.net).

I'm wondering if this is coming from voxalot, or the other provider not giving their informations.

Otherwise : if somebody is calling, how do I call him back, not knowing it's provider ?

I would suggest that your caller has not setup their Caller ID properly.

If they put a DID number in their Caller ID (on a Sipura device this goes in Display Name of the Subscriber Information section) then register that number with ENUM (e164.org) pointing to their 123456@ekiga.net address, as long as whoever they call does ENUM lookup on their reply, they should not ever need to know the provider.

I hope this helps.

Ok, As I understand, in the caller ID field, my contact should put *273 123456 (for 123456@ekiga.net), instead of only 123456.

Thank you !
