Registration Issue - Gmail/AOL Not Allowed?

Upon trying to sign up, I received this error:

I found it strange that I could not use Gmail, but figured it was perhaps some specific issue that was working on being resolved. I have an AOL email I use for junk mail, so I decided to use that. Same message. I don't have any other emails from other service providers, and this is seeming more like an error to me.
