Do i need SIP, and Ekiga.
I'm a little confused.. actually have 2 subjects here..
Do i need a SIP provider, at all? Subject 1, Question 1: People apparently can call my Voxalot address directly with their SIP softphone. Does this mean that my @voxalot.com address is actually a SIP address or SIP inbound provider? Subject 1, Question 2: I can apparently call out with Voxalot as the provider.. does that mean Voxalot is a SIP outboud provider too? Subject 1, Question 3: Then, do i need a SIP provider at all when using Voxalot? Ekiga connectivity. Subject 2, Question 1: According to SIPBroker, ekiga's *Numbers don't work at all. Do i really need an Ekiga SIP address to reach people with Ekiga accounts? Subject 2, Question 2: How do i create a call pattern that matches on @ekiga.net addresses, or.. something that knows it's an ekiga address? |

1/1 : People can call you through Voxalot a number of ways. For example:
a. via SIP URI : xxxxxx@voxalot.com b. via Sip Broker: *010xxxxxx c. via iNum : 883510004xxxxxx 1/2: You can call out through Voxalot using Sip Broker or Inum without having a VoIP provider. To call PSTN or mobile phones, you will need to have one or more VoIP providers set up in Voxalot and a dial plan configured to access them. 1/3: Voxalot does not provide termination services. You will need acquire your own VoIP provider(s) if you wish to call landline or mobile phones. |
