It might help to forward the SIP port anyway. If the router has the SPI security feature you may have to disable that. If the ATA can register but not receive inbound calls, then there's a good chance inbound calls are being stopped at the router. Are you behind two NAT routers or just one? Recently it seems like there are more DSL modems with built-in NAT routers. If you are behind two NATs of course you'd have to forward SIP port in both routers. |

Your ATA's symptoms do not fit this thread. Your problem is different, does not look like NAT issue. I specialize on NAT traversal issues. This thread is for symptoms inbound calls do not ring ATA, but go to voicemail. Your issue is more likely to attract the attention of someone with a solution if you use a related thread or open a new thread, instead of trying to tag it onto the thread of an unrelated issue.

I have a DSL 2Wire Gateway. I'll have to find out how to access router functions?
I can place outgoing calls, not getting incoming calls. I think I found my problem. Gizmo5 call forwarding requires call out credit. I tried IPKall PSTN to ATA. Not getting incoming call. Last edited by jcbrown; 09-25-2009 at 02:49 AM. |

In order to receive calls directly from IPKall you need to forward the SIP port. You must also use a STUN server or forward the RTP port range used by your SIP device. |

hello everyone,
same issue with "inbound calls do not ring ATA, but go to voicemail". I've been using my SPA-3102 for a couple of years already and have not made any recent changes. All was fine until recently. Now incoming calls go to voicemail directly. No matter how my number is called: via my Voip provider registered on Voxalot or via voxalot number directly. If I reset ATA it is fine after the reset but later calls go to voicemail. Need to mention that only occasionally I can receive a call. I have no router and my ATA has a public IP, so NAT is not related. Voxalot: please fix this issue. If there are some changes in configuration, please do reflect them in your FAQ section of setting up the ATA (Setting Up SPA3102 - Voxalot FAQ). Thanks in advance. |

same issue with Thomson 787 ATA
Hi all,
Having the same problem since a few weeks : my ATA (Thomson 787) registers and can receive just one (1) incoming call. All next incoming calls go to voicemail. Never had this problem before. Outgoing calls work fine. @Martin, can you please check out what changed at voxalot 's side ? In particular, is there a new ATA requirement so that voxalot knows we can be called ? |

I have the same problem as roman1.
Two Linksys 3102 devices linked to separate Voxalot accounts. No recent changes. Since yesterday I can not receive inbound calls, all of them go to voicemail. I tried to reach them through providers registered to voxalot and SIPUri with no luck. Of course, both devices are registered to Voxalot servers and I have remote access to them. Voxalot, please fix the issue. I am sure the problem is not on my side. |
