It proves that it can be done without changes to broadvoice, and furthermore after years of people on voxalot asking for it, it shows a blantent disregard for their users needs.

If an ATA can connect to broadvoice and have the service work and use it as a gateway, such as a Sipura or Grandstream device, then surely a PBX type system should be able to handle it.

In fact - it seems to handle it here, except for the last moment, where it sends off the phonecall to a different account. To me and most people who know programming and SIP, this is a simply bug that can be fixed - or even a workaround that can be created. It is certainly not rocketscience when programs like Asterisk, FreePBX, etc. can handle Broadvoice without blinking. As for mysipswitch, it is an experimental service, and one expects bugs and problems as one doesn't pay for it. This is radically different.

Thanks I appreciate it. I assume you are not part of the Voxalot company per se. Is that correct? Do you know if the powers to be read the forums and actually respond to their customers?

The problem is that Broadvoice are not sending the inbound call to the "Contact URI" that was used during SIP registration.

Broadvoice are sending a SIP invite to I presume the broadvoice username @ voxalot instead if the voxalot username @ voxalot.

Ok - Asterisk and PBXes.com seem to handle that ok... can't you create a workaround? It seems simple enough... even if you have to do a bit of matching on the phone numbers. Please? You would make a lot of people happy I bet and increase the customer base... you would definitely make me a believer and recommender of this site.

Please read above, it is *not* a bug Broadvoice need to adhere to the SIP RFC. Voxalot is more stringent on this requirement (for good reason) than other services.

A bug is an undesirable operation of the code. I assume you want to meet customers needs. This does not meet the needs of at least several customers. There can easily be a correction made so that it does. In such terms, yes it is a bug - if you intend to meet customer needs and not stick more stringently to an RFC somewhere than other providers.
