I have a strange problem. i cannot make any outgoing calls anymore. i get only a fast busy signal. there was no such problem in the past. echo test works fine. what could be the problem?
thanks, rama |

Which Voxalot proxy are you using? What kind of sip hardware or software do you have?

hi boatman,
i use a pap2 adapter. i connect to us.voxalot.com. i can make calls through xlite. but the pap2 gives only a busy tone and the call doesn't go through. |

Does the PAP2 register and receive calls normally? What is the dial plan you are using in the PAP2?
Maybe the number being sent to us.voxalot.com is not exactly the number you dialed. There is a way to see what number the PAP2 is calling; immediately after you finish dialing, reload the status page and note the number that was sent to us.voxalot.com. It may appear to the right of 'Call 1 Peer Phone:'. Last edited by boatman; 02-26-2009 at 07:11 AM. |

Strangely, the PAP2 registers fine and also receives incoming calls. I also bypassed the router and connected to the adsl modem with same results. next i checked the dial plan. it is exactly [x*][x*]. -as recommended.
I will try boatman's idea and post back. thanks! |

([x*][x*].) The only other possibility is that the way you're dialing the number does not fit well with one of your VoXalot Smart Call rules...then boatman's suggestion would help you troubleshoot from there... |
