Coming soon - New SIP server in Europe

Thanks to all of our members that responded to the recent VoXaLot survey. One of the resounding themes that emerged from the survey was that the latency of our SIP servers was longer in Europe and affecting the voice quality for our European members.

One of our key objectives at VoXaLot is to ensure that we provide the best possible experience to our members. Keeping with that objective, we are actively working on setting up a server in Europe to address the latency issue in Europe. So stay tuned it wont be long before we commission the server and have it up and running.

Where in Europe will the server be located at?

The first European server is in the Netherlands.

I hope it will improve my VoIP experience somehow. I'm using VoipBuster, which has some latency problems from my ISP at sometimes. I hope the latency problems will go away when I can route my calls thru another server.

We are one step closer. The new European server is now on the network:

85.17.19.194

We are interested to know your latency results. Particularly if you are in Europe.

Im trying to log onto the europe server, it will not register

where i had before voxalot.com i changed it to 85.17.19.194

Martin said 'one step closer'.... the server is on the network (ie Internet), but it isn't ready yet for more than latency tests on the IP address -- at least that's what I think is meant.

The server is simply on the internet.There is still work for us to do to have it ready to take calls.

I checked the ping reply the european server was replying faster

Average latency from Utrecht, The Netherlands is ~10 ms.
