Default new-style voxalot forwarding

I really like the new call forwarding implementation. In particular, it means I can divert all calls to voicemail at certain times of the day. First, two small suggestions, neither of which are "must haves" IMO:
- allow the time-based criterion to also take into account the day of week. For incoming business calls, you'd want one set of rules for mon-fri, and probably different ones on the weekend (and public holidays)
- allow the start time > end time, which implies an overnight time range. At the moment you have to make one rule to 23:59, and another from 00:00. Apart from being a bit unwieldy, it also means that calls between 23:59 and 00:00 would get through.

What I *REALLY* would like is a "do not forward" rule. I have got "redirect to voicemail overnight" as rules 10 and 11, but would like to put some higher-priority rules which disable call forwarding (friends and family can call 24/7). The only possible way at the moment is to select 'URL' as a target and put in your ATA's URI - if it has one.

I've tried putting "sip:xxxxxx@voxalot.com" as the target URI but that doesn't work.

Vox people please consider fixing this. A lot of the potential of this new call forwarding feature is unavailable until this rule is added.

Does anyone know how to get call forwarding to work to PSTN numbers?

My account 404000 (EU) should forward to a changed number announcement on the PSTN via Low Rate Voip (which is registered). But when I dial a DID that forwards to my Voxalot account, I hear nothing.

However when I change forwarding to the FWD echo test, it works fine (I dial the DID and hear the echo test).

Any ideas?

regards

Happy to report this enhancement is now currently in test. We will be releasing it any day now.

The changes to the call forwarding system are now available.

@filmnet, you just need to select the number radio button, enter the number and select either [Dial Plan] or a provider.

Hiya,

many thanks for your reply, but I've already done that and it doesn't work. Works to forward to a SIP URI but not to PSTN via my provider.

In waiting of the new tutorial call forwarding i've a question i this matter which i hope someone can answer.

I registered a voipprovider for fax2email pdf. This is a service in the u.s Inbound calls are free. Now i like people to call my faxnumber which will be forwarded to that number in order to receive this fax in my email (needed)

Howto with this new forwarding menu??

I think the solution for fax2email is to set up a special voxalot account just for the faxes; it will need to have SIP register set to YES so that the incoming call can be forwarded.

Can you please share more details about the voipprovider and the offered service.

This is already done. I've created another account just for this matter with a voipbuster account and this voipaccount which has free fax2email. www.sipnumber.com

Now i want to set up this account that a person who wants to send me a fax calls the voipbusternumber which is forwarded to my sipnumber number in order to receive the fax in my email as a pdf. But i don't know how to with the new menu.
