Hi Martin, I found out another Brazilian user of VoXaLot that is experimenting the same problem with this provider. (I'm a member of a Brazilian voip community in Orkut so we met each other.)

We got a reply from the provider: they say there's no IP blocking at all. They believe the problem can be with VoXaLot closed ports or so.

Well, the provider configuration is:
Username: <user>
Autorization: <user>
Password: <password>
Proxy: 200.170.136.196
CODEC: G.711a,u, G7.723.1, G.726, G.728, G.729, a, b, ab
SIP signaling: port 5060 TCP/UDP
audio RTP: ports 10000 till 30000 UDP

Just a remind: I can register and have it working fine with X-PRO and with my ATA (Grandstrem HT-496). But I'd like a lot to have it working with VoXaLot.

Can you help us somehow? One way can be I PM you an user/pass so you can try it in your ATA/Softphone and then in your VoXaLot account.

Thanks, Wilson

Hi Martin, I got myself another reply from the provider: they say there's no IP blocking at all and that they have made some ATA tests from 3 US IPs and all of them worked fined.

I myself did a new test registering the provider with another non Brazilian free online PBX (if you want to know which one I can post or PM it to you) and everything worked fine. I can have my provider registered to it.

So, it is a VoXaLot problem and/or incompatibility of VoXaLot with this provider.

Can you help us somehow? I'd rather to stay with VoXaLot.

By the way thank you and all the VoXaLot team very much for the Betamax IP blocking solution.

Happy to look into the problem but first of all I need to know what the problem is?

Please provide as much diagnostics as possible. Thanks.

Martin, the problem is that I can not have this provider registered in VoXaLot. The status goes to Pending, then Request Sent, then Auth Sent then Failed.

I can have it registered in my Grandstream HT-496, in Counterpath X-PRO and in another free online PBX. But not in VoXaLot.

The provider configuration is:
Username: <user>
Autorization: <user>
Password: <password>
Proxy: 200.170.136.196
CODEC: G.711a,u, G7.723.1, G.726, G.728, G.729, a, b, ab
SIP signaling: port 5060 TCP/UDP
audio RTP: ports 10000 till 30000 UDP

If you want to make some tests I can PM you my user/password for this provider.

My VoXaLot user is 945766. The provider description is TudoMais. I've just asked to register to it.

Thanks again, Wilson

Just looked at the SIP message log and what I can tell you is that we are not getting any replies for messages sent to 200.170.136.196:5060

The last message sent was for your account on Apr 4 22:10:01 GMT and the REGISTER request got no reply.

If the provider in question is sure they are sending replies then please ask them to provide a sample as we can not see any hitting our system.

Martin, I'll try to have the provider to help us and/or contact you. Let's see if they cooperate.

But can't this no reply be due to some VoXaLot problem/bad parameter when sending the register request?
I'm asking you that because I can register to it with ATA, X-PRO and other virtual/online PBX, so they get the reply as expected.

I've asked to register again and current status is Request Sent.

Thanks.

Our service is 100% SIP complaint and handles 1000's of different providers without any problems.

There must be a subtle requirement that this provider needs.

Only they can tell us what that requirement is.

Exclamation

Martin/Tony, the provider's support finally replied to my contact and they want to help us to solve the problem.

They asked for the log of port 5060. They believe the log will be enough for them to identify what's wrong on their side or on VoXaLot side when trying to register.

Can you email this this log to me? I can PM my email.

Thanks, Wilson.
