Connecting 2 VOIP adapters in 2 countires

I am new to VOIP world an would appreciate if you guys can guide me how to accomplish my task.

I am in US an my brother & parents are in Dubai. They are coming to visit me next week. I have few PAP2 unlocked adapters which I was thinking to give one to them so that when they go back and connect with my adapter here, we can make unlimited calls. My questions are:

What are the options available to me? or what is the best option?
Is there any port restriction in UAE?(I heard some ports are blocked)
Can I connect both adapters with voxalot basic service or do I have to subscribe for premium package?

i suggest you can apply for two voxalot basic, registered the accounts on both voice adaptor, and both voice adaptor in different location can call one another for free.

friendly suggestion, you may create similar dial plan as follow to make life easier.

_100 *061xxxxxx VoXaLot
note: xxxxxx means your voxalot account.

the benefit of this is says if your parent want to call you, they can just dial 100 on their phone and it connect to you.
