Default Voxalot/gateway issues?

I've just moved Voxalot from being the default ATA subscribed account, to a gateway (as I have found a cheapo VOIP->PSTN provider).

I have Voxalot set as GW1 as per the instructions on the tutorial page, but I'm getting a solid/reorder tone when trying to call on it - although the ATA shows the call as made over GW1

Clues?

Ok - this is a question borne of ignorance :

I now have Voxalot setup as @gw1 - this works for making calls OUT, but doesn't seem to work receiving calls - is this as the gateway doesnt actually register?

Yes inbound calls require the ATA or device to be registered with VoXaLot. Gateway setup will only provide outbound capability.

Ok

I have moved Voxalot to a g/w as I am using a paid VSP which allows Sipbroker/Voip->PSTN calls to function nicely. Voxalot was/is registered as an extension on a friends Asterisk PBX - but he can rig that to call me directly
