Default Advance Dial Plans and "(" & ")"

Hi,

is there a way to replace "(" with "" in the advance dial plans.
It seems that voipdiscount doesn't like numbers which contain "(" but my address book contains brackets.

Thanks,
Patrick

The numbers in my address book (on my computer / phone) are like 1(310)8663212 or (310)8663212.

So the question is how do I use the dial plan to turn the number into: 0013108663212 without brackets?

Thanks,
Patrick

1. To the best of my knowledge there is no way to remove the (, however as long as your address book phone adds them automatically (it's not you typing them in) then you should be fine since it's likely the phone is dialing 3108663212 even though it shows (310)8663212

2. You can however add the 00 in front....In the pattern replacement field adjust ${Exten} to 00${Exten}....

Hope that helps...

My phone syncs with Outlook and Outlook does add the () to the number.... so I am not fine...

Could this be a feature request please to add the ability to remove characters with advanced dial plans?

Thanks,
Patrick

Personally I think it should be a feature request for Outlook to stop modifiying our phone book entries! It adds spaces, brackets and whatever else it 'thinks' we might want. Why does Microsoft always insist on being dumb enough to try and be so clever?
