Default Verifying a number which your providers don't permit?

Hi,

I have a number which I would like to go into the ENUM database so that those on ENUM enabled networks can call me, however this a brand new number and not all UK networks yet support it let alone VoIP networks and overseas networks, so I am getting no verification call.

Is there anyway to verify these numbers manually? For instance submitting a screenshot of the email verifying that I own/rent the number?

The prefix in question is the UK new non-geographic prefix of 03333.

Thanks for any advice you can give.

No, don't know of any.

I have it registered with Voxalot if that helps, the username is the actual number.

Unfortunately that isn't objective enough for e164.org's policies.

Could I ask what VoIP providers ENUM uses, then perhaps I could email them asking them to add the 03 UK extension to their switch.

Other than that, is there any other way of verifiying both that the number exists and that I am the registered owner of the number?

I don't really know much about the UK regulatory system, but I assume if the UK regulator made a new range they would have provisions for carriers to support it in a set time frame, perhaps finding out the regulations or the implementation time frame might be the way to go.

I wouldn't even know how to go about that Evilbunny, all I know is that the only company which HAS to allow them from their exchanges is BT because they have the majority of lines being a former monopoly.

I have dropped the number and provider now, it just seems more hassle than it's worth.

I've no idea either, you'd need to find someone more familiar with the UK regulatory environment to comment.

We prefer not to make this public for a number of reasons such as NDAs and confidentiality agreements and we'd rather not make this information too public because it then has the potential for people to try and game the system, either just because they can, or although unlikely at this point in time, nafarious purposes.
