port forward this
Hi
Callers who are registered on VoXaLot can call my VoXaLot number which make my phone rings but I can not hear them and they can not hear me. But when I call them back, all is fine. Calling *010xxxxxx where xxxxxx is my VoXaLot number from a SIP PSTN number, I hear a busy tone. *600 for the echo test works fine. Here is my physical setup. I am in Australia Sydney ASDL line from the wall to a filter. A phone line from the filter to a modem/router supplied by my ISP. A phone line from the filter to the line port in my syslink 3102. An Ethernet cable from the modem/router to NIC in a Linux box where there is a firewall. An Ethernet cable from the other NIC in the Linux box to a wireless router for my LAN. An Ethernet cable from the wireless router to the ATA 3102. A phone cable from a Uniden cordless phone to the phone port in the ATA. if I connect the SPA3102 directly to the ADSL modem. Put the IP address that the SPA3102 has been assigned by the ADSL modem into the ADSL modem's DMZ and all is working fine. how can I get this to work? Thanks a million |

ok, I fixed it, I added the ATA to the wireless router DMZ. and now all is working fine. is that the right thing to do or I should do the port forwarding the right way?
