Phone numbers begining with "#"
Should Voxalot be able to handle destination numbers prefixed with "#" , which is then stripped off by the dial plan?
I cant find anything which says it isn't ok, and it's DP editor accepts patterns like "_#x." However I just cant get it to work - the dial plan tester works as expected but actual calls dont work. Same with a prefix of "*", which seems to make the dial plan tester think the call must be sent to SIPBroker, which I dont even use. Last edited by NeBlackCat; 04-17-2008 at 08:28 AM. |

Are you using an ATA or IP phone which assumes that "#" is the same function as the Send or Enter key?
I avoid using # within a dial string because of this reason. As far as I recall, everything beginning with an "*" and not a Voxalot special funtion (like *600 for Echo Test) will get sent to Sipbroker. |

Hi, no it's being sent out by the ATA as expected, it's log shows that it's trying to call to sip:%2370431123456@au.voxalot.com (%23 being ascii escape sequence for #) based on my girlfriend entering #7 0431 123456.
So the ATA seems to be doing everything right. Maybe Voxalot can't handle ASCII escape sequences in SIP communications? |

Default: [*x][*x]. Modified: [*#x][*x]. (I am using a PAP2) That said it is very likely VoXalot is interpreting % as % and not as #.... |
