Voxalot with X-Lite
I have configured X-Lite according to the tutorial and I can successfully reach *600 but when I attempt to make any calls - I get told the number is unreachable.
If I then configure my VSP in X-Lite and attempt to dial the number directly it works fine. I am very new to this and have looked through forums here and on Whirlpool, but simply cannot find a solution to it. Help please! |

You need to add your particular provider to your Voxalot account portal, in both the Provider screen and then the Dial Plan screen (and make a suitable entry in the dial plan to allow numbers to go through that provider), because otherwise Voxalot won't know to use them.

I've added two VSPs and for testing purposes, all calls are being routed by one of them in the dial plan.
Still no joy. I'm sure it must be something simple, but I just can't see what is causing it As I understand, I should be able to dial as though I was using the VSP directly, without any special number formats, prefixes etc Last edited by 291270; 05-08-2007 at 11:26 PM. |

On the dial plan list page in Voxalot there is a test facility. What message appears when you enter the number you are trying to call and click the "Test" button?

Hi Martin
Testing a call to an Australian mobile gives the following: A call to:04XXXXXXXX will get forwarded to sip:04XXXXXXXX@sip.wa.iinet.net.au When dialling the same number in X-lite via Voxalot - Call failed, Request timeout with a recorded message 'the person you are calling is unavailable, please try again' When dialling the same number in X-lite using the VSP (iinet) - works perfectly |

Still no joy.
I've left only one VSP as a provider in my Voxalot settings. Configured voxalot as a SIP account in X-Lite - added username and password (double and triple checked), domain=voxalot.com, domain proxy=au.voxalot.com It registers OK, the echo test works and I can dial in to voicemail. I simply can't make any outbound calls - 'call failed: forbidden' I can dial out with the VSP if I register it with X-Lite directly. I must be doing something wrong. I am dialling the number with any special characters and exactly the same as I would dial with my VSP directly. Please point out my error! |
