Using Geographic Number Lookup
OK, so after searching this forum, I finally worked out to put my number and not the $EXTEN in the dial plan for the geographic number.
Anyway I notice from using http://wap.e164.org that the lookup chooses landline numbers over 0800 numbers (in UK). Seems to me 0800 numbers should be boosted to the top even if you specify a landline number for your own number. Leaving my number blank on the webpage does this, but I can't leave the field blank in VoXaLot. Anyone know how to work round this? Last edited by tomblandford; 01-10-2007 at 09:41 AM. |

Oops, solved my own problem (again!). Might as well keep the post for other users who might be interested.
Putting simple 44 as my own number did the trick. |

Incidentally, I just tried out my elec provider NPower. Using the 0845 and 0800 numbers gets the same switchboard - result! However the 01668 number (given in e164) gets a different switchboard that says the wait time is 40 minutes. Have they wised up to our ways?

More then likely, if there is a problem with a NGN report it on e164.org so we can remove it.
