Hi,Emoci

Kurun's test step1&step2 verified this is not a coverage issue. I think Kurun called the same Rogers(Fido) mobile two times in short interval. So, i think this issue happened between Voipdiscount and Rogers. The most possbile cause is Rogers has done something on their side of the interconnecting gateway. If Rogers did this .. I dont understand any rational reason behind it .. casue in Canada the incoming calls on cells are not free ...
either you pay per min or use "free" minutes which you get after paying a hefty monthly subscription .. May be they are worried about weekend and weekdays evening unlimited minutes !!!! |

In general, if someone uses Voipdiscount to call Rogers mobile user, he would select callee's unlimited minutes time zone to make the call. The free for caller, the free for callee. I have a daring thought that the payment user number of Betamax is more than Skype's. Last edited by hust; 12-08-2007 at 04:50 AM. |

so wat could be the best alternative for rogers cell using betamax as I dont want to get more paid subscriptions with other VSP ,, I already have VoipDiscount and VoipCheap.uk
I have one solution ,.. i.e. to register with Grandcentral (4 now its free but 4 how long??) DIDWW -> Voxalot -> Betamax -> Grandcentral -> any number of phones including rogers The only thing is .. adding up an extra hop i.e. grandcentral Anyother option other than PhoneGnome??? (as it didnt work for me) Last edited by mian; 12-08-2007 at 08:15 AM. |

I also used to have problems calling to Canadian mobiles using Voipbuster. Not just one way voice, but also 'cracking' sounds on the background and 'robotic' voices. Canadian landlines were just okay, no artifects or what so ever.
