Default _XXX. Issue?

This used to work fine.

My Billion 7404VGP is registered to Voxalot. My dial plan to forward numbers are:

*x.T and x.T

I have several dial plans registered at Voxalot, the last one being _XXX. Going to Pennytel. All numbers greater than 3 digits go to Pennytel...this is supposed to be a catch at the end of my dial plans.

This has worked all the time but as of today, for some peculiar reason, it doesn't work anymore and I get to a message, from, I presume Pennytel, saying that the digits dialled are not complete.

If I wish to dial a number such as *061XXXXXX (Voxalot number) it won't work. If I disable the _XXX. it will all of a sudden begin working again. I can, however, dial other Sipbroker numbers via *, such as *266300, *266301 etc. Various other ones I have tested but as soon as I dial *061 or *010 it wont work anymore!

Confused, can someone give some advice.

Regards,

Jan

Hi Jan,

Not sure why disabling that dial plan entry makes a difference as _xxx. does not match *061 numbers.

Please Pm your account and I will take look.

Default Resolved

The issue has been fixed.

In the Billion The User Domain/Realm was set to voxalot.com, Registrar and Outbound Proxy were set to au.voxalot.com.

This was somehow causing a conflict as the User Domain/Realm, in the Billion, seems to decide which sip server you are actaully connected to.

Both parties are now connected to au.voxalot.com properly and we can dial each other using *061XXXXXX (Voxalot account number).

I'm not sure, completely, why the _XXX. dial plan came into effect here as it has nothing to do with recognising * character. I think, as it's the last dial plan (catch), anything that doesn't match gets forced to this dial plan. In my case it was sent to PennyTel and obviously the dialled digits don't match.

The other party was registered via the Domain voxalot.com and I was connected via the Domain au.voxalot.com. When *061XXXXXX was dialled it was looking for *061XXXXXX on the US server and couldn't find it - then placed the call via PennyTel. It should have still recognised it!

Anyway, it's all fixed now and working correctly.

Thanks to Martin for his help as he said that one of the accounts was registering on the US server which was strange. All sorted....thanks Martin!

affinity will become famous soon enough

Add these two dial plan entries to the Billion:
<**:*>x.T
<***:**>x.T

This covers sipbroker codes and voxalot speed dials respectively. Just enter the exta * when dialing.
