Hi jozef,
Thanks for doing those tests. I hope someone from Voxalot will soon tell us if a solution based on the P-src-ip header can be integrated into their servers. |

I thought it was already. Are you guys suggesting it is not?

Hi Martin,
I rarely see the 'P-src-ip:' header in SDP packets from Voxalot. Are all Voxalot proxies supposed to be inserting this header in SDP packets, including re-invite packets? When jozef is using a Voxalot proxy which is not on the Betamax whitelist, and he can avoid FUP charges only by inserting a 'P-src-ip:' header upstream from Voxalot, wouldn't that suggest that Voxalot is not inserting a 'P-src-ip:' header? |

I do not understand what is being said above. All I know is that I logged my sip adapter to eu.voxalot.com today and got a FUP with betamax.

I was logged on eu.voxalot.com and had FUP, then when my credit was exhausted, the message "your credit is too low...", although still more than 90 free days left
I switched to au.voxalot.com, and now I can again use my free days on free destinations. |

321041,
You may have less audio latency if you use a proxy that is closer to you. See this post earlier in this thread. I suggest you ping them all and use the one with the lowest ping time, provided that one doesn't cause you any FUP issue. Bob0260, We are talking about one of a number of special optional lines that may appear in a SIP SDP packet. It is called the 'P-src-ip:' header, it's purpose is to give the caller's source IP address. When jozef cleverly inserted this line into his SIP packets he noticed that Betamax did not charge FUP for that call, whereas without the 'P-src-ip:' header the call had a FUP charge. Martin says that Voxalot is already using the 'P-src-ip:' header, however jozef's test suggests that 'P-src-ip:' header may be missing or incorrect with one or more of the Voxalot proxies. I guess Martin will tell us more about this later. |

Martin,
Thanks for doing that. I tried to open an account at sipsorcery.com but they are not presently accepting any new users. In order to discover what makes the difference between FUP and non FUP calls, I propose that jozef make two calls through the same Voxalot proxy. One call would be without the extra something from sipsorcery so that it will have FUP charge. The other call would be with sipsorcery in the way that avoids FUP charge. jozef could send you the date/time and destination number of both calls so you could more easily locate them in your logs. After comparing all SIP packets from both calls we may be able to discover what makes the difference between FUP and non-FUP calls at the one proxy that is possibly not on Betamax's whitelist. |

After the 8th of September they accept new accounts i see, that's a wise choice of them, because last time i tried any dialplans they where failing, i guess they do want to provide service, only when SS is stable enough, like MSS was.

FWIW, I don't think the temporary suspension of new accounts at Sip Sorcery was due to dial plans failing. I've got quite a few destinations (including Voxalot) registered at Sip Sorcery and access them via a fairly sophisticated dial plan and I've never seen it fail.
