VoxalotLite: NO incomming calls from VoipDiscount, NO VoiceMail Indicator..
Hi,
as I read, that the troubles with betamax VoipDiscount should belong to the past I re-registered VoipDiscount as my provider, but if s.o. calls my VoipDiscount-phone-number he immediatly gets the occupied signal - no matter if my ATA (SPA941) is registered (with dnd this night) to voxalot or not registered (the past days) Last night I set my VoiceMailIndicator of my phone to yes without having new VoiceMails in my voxalotMailBox, having the hope that voxalot would be able to re-set this indicator to no - no change at all after 12 hours. By the way: Symetric NAT handling is set to Yes, Optimize Audio Path is set to No, VoipDiscount is enterd as my only provider, and my Voxalot-Account is Activ and the provider status is registered .. At my SPA941 I have entered at the field 'VoiceMailServer': @voxalot.com (acc. to your FAQ) Carl

Ok let's break down your problems into more manageable chunks:

In other words, if you change the status on the phone the only time Voxalot will send an MWI update message is when something changes on the server or when your phone asks the server for an update. .

This *010 xxx xxx has worked. I could leave a message in my voicemail box.
Now again I am going to call my VoipDiscount No from a normal Telefone (PST?).I'll be back in10 min.. By the way I deleted my voice mail from the box, but the indicator hasn't chagend yet: 3,4 Min Carl ok, from a normal telephone called my VoipDiscount No failed: imediately I got the occupid signal, and the VoiceMailIndicator is still on: 10 Min.. Add. I cannot change the subscribe mesage, I can't see in the AdminGuide of the SPA how and where this can be set up.. VMI: I have got another VoiceMail (she was directly connected to my voicemailbox while my phone was online?) I listened and deleted it and now the VMI has changed to 'empty' or no.

Again no change at all
Hi again,
Before I left for lunch I de-registered my ATA at voxalot. First I made a call from another phone to my VoipDiscount No. and - as before - I got the buzzy signal right away, no connection, no voicemailbox. Then I used the SipBroker PSTNo and was connected to my viocemail box and left a message. Now, back, I re-registered my ATA and although having new voicemails in my box the VoceMailIndicator of my ATA is still no. Martin, I have a Linksys Spurao spa941 - not a selfmade something - and in the AdminGuide is absolutely nothing about a SUBSCRIBE message. So I can't change it even though I wouldn't know what you would need. Therefore I assume its SUBSCRIBE message is kind of standard and not exotic. Regards, Carl

This would explain why the MWI is not working either. This is usually a NAT related issue. The best approach forward is to call one of the SIPBroker - PSTN Numbers and at the prompt dial *010xxxxxx and do whatever you need to do on the SPA and/or firewall/router to get the calls working.
Once this works and you have 2 way audio, then retry inbound calls via your embedded providers. .

Martin,
as I told you, if s.o. calls me via any sip-broker, or Voip to Voip - this works perfectly! Yesterday smz called me and then I called him. So my NAT settings seems to be correct - no? I even can without any problem do outbound calls using (right now) my only provider VoipDiscount. All the time I have two way (perfect) audio. My problem is that if s.o. dials directly my VoipDiscount-Tel.No. into a normal phone (from outside Austria: 0043 720 30... or within Austria 0720 30..) it is immediately occupied - while my ATA is registered validly at voxalot and voxalot is validly registered at VoipDiscount. If I register my ATA directly at VoipDiscount which I had to do as off betamax stoped the interoperability with voxalot, everything will be ok, but in this case, what for I have been invited (and I did) to pay for voxalot? Regards, Carl

Thanks Martin,
as you proofed it wasn't voxalot. The tel.company here in Vienna seems to block the Austrian voip-area codes 0720 .. I allready sent them a mail.. Thanks, Carl
