ENUM vs VoXaLot Voicemail
Problem: my mobile it is registered on e164.org. SIP 233332@voxalot.com
ATA not in a network. Voicemail Settings: Voicemail Active* Yes. I call on mobile from another SIPID - answering machine VoXaLot. Voicemail Active* No - it is busy. What to do? Last edited by sim2sim; 12-28-2007 at 06:18 AM. |

I am not sure that I understand what your problem is. Can you clarify. What do you expect to occur compared to what is actualy occuring.

Excuse for my English.
At not connected client device (softphone, ATA) VoXaLot should send the SIP-message, that the subscriber is not accessible. In this case ENUM sends a call on following registered SIP-account or on corresponding phone. I do not know what SIP-message sends VoXaLot now. But, if in adjustments it is included Voicemail, it starts to work (without a delay exposed in adjustments). If Voicemail it is switched off, switching on following SIP or phone does not occur. My understanding of your problem is that, when your SIP call gets sent to VoXaLot and the VoiceMail is On and this is OK, but when VoiceMail is Off you just get the Busy signal.
If this is correct, what were you expecting to occur when the VoiceMail is Off? Are you expecting that the Enum forwarding to VoXaLot would be rejected? Do I assume from this that you want the call to go to your mobile when VoiceMail is Off? If this is what you are looking for, then I am not sure that Enum does this function. Perhaps others can suggest ways to achieve this result if this is what you are looking for. MG. |

Voxalot does an ENUM lookup (if enabled in the dial plan) for outgoing calls, not for incoming calls.
Perhaps you are expecting an ENUM look-up for incoming call also? |

On how many I understand logic of work ENUM: if on specified SIP-ID there is no active registration of the client equipment - the call leaves in PSTN.
With SIP-ID VoXaLot it does not occur (on mine account). Probably it is a problem in ENUM? Then I should write in other forum? Last edited by sim2sim; 01-04-2008 at 03:40 PM. |
