Dialplan Question
If I dial 11 through to AstraTEL I can find out the balance of my account. I tried to setup a dial plan
_11 route to AstraTEL but when I try a test I get A call to:11 will get forwarded to 11 is not a valid e164 number. How can I get this to work? |

Just wondering if dialing 11 to Astratel works for anyone else, when I try it the Astratel message is trucated, I get "Your actual cred" and its dead after that.
I've got nat turned on and the usual ports forwarded. When I dial *393613 the echo test works ok. If I dial 600 the message get truncated. I'm using a Sipura 2000 with just voxalot in its dial plan. Any ideas? Regards, Kim Last edited by kheaver; 06-13-2006 at 05:08 AM. |

*393613 is the FWD echo test and FWD forces g711.
It sounds like you might have a Codec issue. I would double check your Codec settings.

What is the different between dialing *393613 and 600, the first works, dialling 600 gets cut off after about 2 seconds. Regards, Kim |

The best way to confirm that you're not fighting a router/NAT problem is to briefly connect your ATA directly to your modem such that your router is not being used. If the problem presists, you know it's not the router. If the problem is gone, your router is the primary suspect. Ron |

11 works for me
My first dial plan rule is
_11 ${EXTEN} AstraTel Works fine for me. I have my ATA pointing to voxalot.com.au. I have a "Sip call in one" (Leadtek BVA8051S) ATA. Only setting that I found I had to vary from the tutorial was the dialplan. The suggested plan [x*][x*]. didn't work for me. I just left the field blank and saved; the system inserted the dialplan of z.T and that worked. I have had a lot of other issues with AstraTel, such as calls not going through (message -- number can't be dialed -- but same number works at other times) and today being cut off multiple times after a few minutes. Also can't seem to get web callback working with them. I'm thinking their compatibility might be a bit sus... Cheers, Brian |

For some strange reason, everything is working this morning, both 600 and 11.
The ATA was in the DMZ zone so it shouldn't have been a nat problem, I took it out and it worked, as a double check I put it back and it still worked. I'll monitor it for a while and see how it goes. Thanks for your help. Regards, Kim |
