Exclamation Theoretically Voxalot could steal all our VoIP minutes

I am still thinking very much about this article:
Beware!! Somebody might be stealing your VoIP minutes

The VoIP Weblog: Beware!! Somebody might be stealing your VoIP minutes
We users of Voxalot give you all the login data of our SIP providers but we barely know you. Theoretically you could make phone calls on my cost or sell my phone minutes to a third party.

I don't want to insinuate, I am just courious.

So I put it into a question:

How does Voxalot assure it's clients that their login data are safe and nobody abuses their VoIP minutes?

Interesting question. But a bit trifling, IMHO.
1) I trust in VoXaLot, as I have to trust in each online shop where I buy. When VoXaLot will grow and reach Google size, I will worry about about its intrusiveness.
2) Even if VoXaLot sell my remaining weekly minutes, I would have no loss, so:
3) It is Betamax that should beware of VoXaLot. If Betamax agree with VoXaLot, why should I be troubled?

Default It's not as "trifling" as you think.

Hello Pranzo,

it's not as "trifling" as you think. For instance the German VoIP provider GMX charges 1 Cent to German land line, but until 99 Euro Cents for calls to abroad. In the normal account there are no "remaining weekly minutes" but you get charged at the end of the month.

It could be quite a surprise if someone could get the GMX account data and make calls on your cost.

But, again, I don't think that Voxalot would ever do it.

While I must say that I do trust voxalot. This got me thinking about progress on the call log request that voxalot is working on. With users signing up different accounts and numerous dialplans on voxalot. Its becoming more and more important to know what call where made through my account and routed via which provider.

For protection, telecoms are turning to private VoIP networks, separate from the public Internet. More than 1,000 telecoms, including AT&T and China Telecom, now buy and sell minutes on a network owned by Stealth.

Seems more like an ad for Stealth to me.
