I confess to being a complete an utter newbie when setting up VOIP. Can someone please let me know the settings to put in to the DLINK DVG-1402S router? I am able to get the router working fine with Pennytel, but once I change the settings over to Voxalot I can't get it working. Relevant settings pages are as follows:
http://www.stbproductions.net/VOIP.JPG http://www.stbproductions.net/VOIP2.JPG Note that if I change the "voxalot.com" entries to "sip.pennytel.com" and alter the username/password, Pennytel works perfectly. Any help would be great! |

There are at least two varieties of the hardware and also various firmware versions. The DVG-1402S is a router and should be placed as the first thing connected to your cable/DSL router in order to avoid port forwarding and NAT issues. It's got a console port, very handy but you must have a level shifter to use the console port because it uses 0 to 3 volt signals, not RS232. At least some versions of the DVG-1402S units can work with Voxalot. It was popular with Sipphone users, so you can find a lot of info about it in the sipphone forums, and maybe also in the gizmoproject forums. A good DVG-1402S resource page is here: SIPphone SIPphone Support Sipphone has some firmware which you can download if you think it would help. I have used Sipphone firmware S049, but I did not try it with Voxalot. If you decide to change firmware you should read this first: SIPphone Forum :: View topic - DVG-1402S, switch to standby firmware As for settings, just follow the Sipphone settings but substitute your Voxalot userID and password, and change to proxy01.sipphone.com to us.voxalot.com or the Voxalot server nearest you. Ip Video phone
May I ask a question, do Voxalot support for IP Video phone? i.e. GXV-3000 IP Video Phone
Could any Members or Voxalot Reps please advice? If possible, could you please advise the Setup manual? Otherwise when can we use it on Voxalot or other VOIP provider ? Thank |
