To call a NAP toll free number through SIP Broker, dial: *1800 180 1407 (in front of the eleven digit number, starting with the USA country number, dial *).
It's preferable to dial through SIP Broker and not through an e164.org ENUM route (the first tends to work better because the CID that is passed to the callee). Regards, |

What does NAP stand for? Sorry I am layman.
I tried to dial *1800227227@sipbroker.com but it went to US and not to India i.e. HDFC Bank as per India Toll Free Numbers / Customer Care Numbers List Last edited by gabbar.singh; 12-26-2009 at 10:51 AM. |

NAP = North American Dial Plan (United States and Canada phone numbers)
SIP Broker only makes calls to NAP toll free numbers. No luck to India or many other countries. For that you must use some Voice Service Provider that supports the destination you are calling (usually only national providers do that). If the toll free numbers you are trying to dial are not from NAP, then try to find a paid phone number where you can dial. Regards, |

Does the @sipbroker.com portion has to be included when dialing toll free number using an IP Phone?

At the moment there is no route in SipBroker or e164 to call Indian Toll Free numbers.... so in a gist not possible to call these numbers. We'd need to track down a provider who specializes in routing calls to India Toll Free numbers and may accept open third party calls via SIP (usually because the provider would get a kickback whenever the numbers are called)
To avoid any confusion (from what I noticed from your list): North American Toll Free numbers: 1-800-123-1234 Indian Toll Free numbers: 1-800-123-123 or 1-800-12-1234 |

hello everybody....
if it is an Indian toll free number, you have to use BSNL to make the call. IF you are talking of american toll free numbers you have to call 00 that number. |
