Can't place a call
Hi all,
I've only just started playing with Voxalot so I'm not sure what the problem might be... I can receive a call on my DID from les.net but I cant place a call, I've set some dialling plans on my Billion 6404VGP but have not set any dialling plans with voxalot other than the default dialling plan.... Is this the problem or is it something else? Also what does the priority thing mean? 999 (lowest priority) 1 (highest priority) or is it the other way around?? Either way, I'm really stumped as to why I can't place a call but I can receive them fine??? Any helps would be hugely appreciated, Sam. |

Can you call the voxalot echo server (dial *600 0r 600)? What outgoing Voip provider are you using?

When I dialled *600 it was engaged.... When I dialled 600 I got an echo test..
I am placing my outbound calls with les.net the same VSP that I'm receiving my calls with..... When I try to make a call it says: Sorry, the number you have called is not connected...... But it is connected if I call on my mobile.... Last edited by BlueDream; 06-09-2007 at 12:26 PM. |

Ok.... I got it to work! It was a simple case of not entering the correct user name!
With les.net your ACTUAL user name is a combination of 'user name' and peer number, so for instance if my 'user name' was 12345 and my peer number is 67890 then my ACTUAL user name is 1234567890 which is what I need to enter into the voxalot provider list. I was using 12345 - which is what I use as a username to enter the les.net web-interface but it is NOT actually my username..... Anyways, I've got it working now I think...... Within the voxalot provider list under STATUS it says 'Request Sent' I don't know if it is waiting for a response or what but I can receive and make calls at the moment so hopefully everything is fixed. I will check in the morning and see. Thanks all will keep you posted |

Les.net is an "outgoing" PSTN provider only.
So when you set up the provider in Voxalot, select Sip Register to No. The DID function is unrelated to the PSTN calling features, and you can have one or the other or both. The "Request Sent" will disappear when the Sip Register is set to No, but outgoing calls will still function, as long as your User_Name+Peer_Name and password are entered correctly. For SIP to SIP calls (ie calling other VOIP accounts), you just use Voxalot with the appropriate Sip-Broker prefix codes for the particular VoIP service provider. |
