Recently joined Voxalot and installed X-Lite V3.
Everything worked fine (also echo test *600).
However calling (as a test) with any SIP Broker PSTN access number there was a good call setup but the Inbound caller (Via PSTN) could not be replied by voice (X-Lite). He/she didn't hear me speaking, I could hear him/her very well.
My solution (after many hours of frustration
) was quite simple:
Just setup X-Lite as described within Voxalot's softphone instruction.
Also: goto Options --> Advanced --> Audio and just select G711 aLaw and G711 uLaw.
Now comes the nice part, X-Lite has a hidden feature to show more advanced settings and change them...
just dial ***7469 and press DIAL (Green call button)
An advanced grid opens. In the filter box type "honor" and click 'Apply Filter'
The setting 'system:network:honor_first_codec' appears with value 0.
Change this to value 1 and close the window.
A Save option is given. Save this setting, close X-Lite and restart the application.
Test again and hopefully you're happy too...
