This problem seems to be worse with some cordless phones.

I find that a corded phone where the duration of the DTMF tones and the time gap between tones can be controlled by the user, as opposed to some newer phone which generates the same short beep for any key that is pressed. Probably about a 0.5 to 1 second duration for a DTMF tone works acceptably well with most end points.

The problem may be due to the DTMF transmission capability the cordless phone to the base set, of the VSPs between Voxalot and the point of termination, and the DTMF decoding sensitivity at the receiving end, particularly with older PBX systems.
