If anyone has been frustrated by *211 (sipgate.co.uk) not working here is a tip:

use sipgate.net (*8485) and prefix the sipgate.co.uk number/id with 44 and the number's area code.

E.g. *8485 44...

The part of my existing dial plan to handle SIP broker calls is:

|*x.<:@sipbroker.com>|

so that any number starting with * is passed...
