Vonage & Voxalot

I signed up to the premium service and am having a nightmare getting vonage to work. Here is my setup:

1 justvoip line - works fine for outgoing

1 Vonage SoftPhone Line - works fine for outgoing, but when dialling my Vonage DDI, i get a message saying THE NUMBER YOU HAVE CALLED COULD NOT BE CONNECTED

I have set Call Connection to send all calls to my voxalot number.

Echo test works fine and i can use sipbrokers ezidial to call my voxalot number and it works fine.

I connect to voxalot using eyebeam 1.5 and eyebeam can connect no problem to vonage and receive incoming calls.

I have of course disabled the vonage account in eyebeam prior to setting it up in voxalot, so that there aren't two registrations.

Can anybody help???

What is likely happening is the following:

VoXalot is registering with Vonage, and asking them to send all calls to:
<Your 6 Digit VoXalot Number>@64.34.173.199 (this is the IP for the VoXalot US server)

Vonage is accepting the registration, but instead sending calls to:
<Your Vonage Number>@64.34.173.199

VoXalot does not recognize the Vonage number, which is likely longer than 6 digits, hence it replies with "THE NUMBER YOU HAVE CALLED COULD NOT BE CONNECTED"

There are a few providers that behave this way, so far that list includes:
Netvoip.ch
VoipMais
BroadVoice
megafone.hu
Oriunde.com
VBuzzer

All of the above providers, including Vonage, will work fine for outgoing calls, but not for incoming calls, unfortunately.

You have two alternatives:

1. PBXes.com offers a free account, where among others you can setup Inbound Routing by matching your username rather than your trunk name, and hence you can have calls sent to VoXalot that way, while keeping Vonage set up in VoXalot for outgoing only

2. Set up an account at MySipSwitch with the same username as the one you use for your Vonage registration, and then use MSS to register eith Vonage and deliver those calls to VoXalot...

As such the following providers cannot be used to correctly receive incoming calls (these are the known ones):
Netvoip.ch
VoipMais
BroadVoice
megafone.hu
Oriunde.com
