If you use the migration tool, all your dial plans and speed dials will automatically be translated into SS dial plans. Then, all you have to do is add your VSPs to the SIP Providers list. It might take you about an hour to get everything up and running. I found the migration process totally painless.

Does the tool migrate the Call Connection (call forwarding) rules list also, I have 10 to move.

Yes, it does.

Does it migrate advanced dial plan rules, or only the basic ones?

Is there anything that doesn't migrate or doesn't migrate well?

I'm not sure what you mean by advanced dial rules but it migrated every one of my many dial plans successfully.

With my speed dials, in Voxalot, I had them set to use Smart Dial. When they are translated to SS, they will use whatever provider you have set in your Smart Dial plans. When you change your main dial plan, this change won't automatically carry over to your speed dials.

At this stage, I'm far from being an expert on SS but, as far as I know, those advanced options are not migrated to SS, although some of them, such as ENUM lookup, are available according to this page: Looking for a Voxalot Replacement?.

LOL, I am really going to miss my alphabetical speed dial list, which was like our family phone book. We all used it daily as it was easier to manage than contact lists on handsets. I transferred it to SIPSorcery but its look and feel is not the same, and it is not alphabetical. Oh well, it was great while it lasted. Time to move on!
