Problems using x-lite with voxalot

I have installed x-lite, registered with voxalot, and set up voxalot as the SIP account inside x-lite as shown by the tutorial on voxalot's website. X-lite says that I have registered and am connected. Any calls I make claim to be connected, but do go through. I tried calling *600, and the echo test failed (even though x-lite told me I was connected). Calling my cell and house phones has shown no results (again, even though x-lite claims to be established.) What should I do?

Have you checked that the sound devices are actually working correctly? Go to the Audio TUning wizard and check if you are not sure. If the sound test out OK then perhaps you have a port problem in which case you could try settin up STUN in the System Setting/Network tab (at present I have STUN set to stun.gradwell.net:3478). If you have already set up port forwarding then make sure that you have "room" for rtp - set a rane of port -say 8000 - 8010 UDP open an set RTP to that range and your SIP port should be set to 5060 UDP.
