Help Requested: SIP, Voxalot & SRV Record Query
 

I have just registered a premium voxalot account & I am VoIP newbie.

I am using Linksys PAP2T-NA ATA & IPkall number and have sucessfully landed the IPkall number on my ATA, though I have no outgoing options yet.

My question is, If I get my DNS provider to create a SRV record for my domain, pointing to voxalot sip uri that I am using now, would that enable people calling 12345@sip.mydomain.com.....land on my ATA through Voxalot's service?

What is the best way of landing own domain uri through a third party service like voxalot on one's ata?

An SRV record is unlikely to work because the VoXalot servers are not authoritative for your domains...

I can think of two quick solutions:
-Add a CNAME record pointing sip.yourDomain.com to voxalot.com in which case 123456@yourDomain.com will ring your VoXalot.com
-Take a look at Voice-over-IP gateway for Google Talk, MSN and Yahoo Users
After creating it forward your registered email to your VoXalot SIP URI with GTalk2Voip (it may help if you're using Google Apps). Also take a look at Use with Google Apps?
