Problem with voxalot.com.au?
I tried to make some calls today and have had no joy (with any providers). Had the ATA registered with voxalot.com.au and decided to switch to voxalot.com to see if it made a difference. Bingo! Everything worked as it should. Is there a problem with voxalot.com.au at the moment?

I just made a call using SIPME and I could hear the phone ringing because it was near me, but I had no audio of the ringing on the ATA that I used wit STUN setup, my 7402VGO worked fine.
I guess the STUN server might be having a problem.... |
You can rule out the STUN server by trying a different one. You do not need to use a particular STUN server with a particular provider. Others to try are:
stun.fwdnet.net stun01.sipphone.com stun.voipbuster.com stun.xten.com I've been using Sipphone's STUN server for a long time with no problems, but I have also used FWD's and Viopbuster's servers in the past with success. Ron |
There have been no problems reported in the logs. FYI a quick way to sanity check the service is to dial 600 (echo test)
The reason this is the best test is that 600 uses all of the components that make up VoXaLot including the RTP side of things. |
fyi, I too had probs this afternoon, when checking the providers, they was both at the status of request sent, was ok when I checked about 30 mins later. problem occured at about 5pm EST

600 doesn't work either.... changed STUN server, it didn't help. ATA bad, 7402VGO good (no STUN server). I had the same problems last Monday on the ATA -- it was fine last Sunday night, no good on Monday and at some stage it started working again after Martin re-installed the RTP server component (I think).
Refer this post last Monday from Martin: http://forum.voxalot.com/showpost.ph...0&postcount=15 |
Hmm ok can you try now affinity I restarted some services just now?
|
VM works okay, 600 doesn't and audio is one way with calls.
|
Have you tried using no STUN server or a different STUN server? All test cases here are working just fine.
|
I tried a different STUN before and I just changed it back. The 7402VGO doesn't have [or need] a STUN server, but the ATA does. There doesn't seem to be any problems with the 7402VGO at all -- both devices are registered with the same voxalot account using the voxalot.com.au server for registrations.
