Reaching Voxalot through SIPBroker numbers. Does it work ?

Hello,

Anyone can double check please ?

When callers are trying to reach my Voxalot account by using one of SIPBroker numbers, I have calls forwarded to my cell # through one of my local providers. The call goes through, yet when I pick it up there is no audio on any end and the caller gets a busy tone.
However, when I register a Voxalot account with pbxes.com and try the same, the call goes through and both sides hear each other.

I did try that with a few SIPBroker numbers and the result is always the same.
I must not be the only one having this problem. Any suggestion ?

Thanks

Sip Broker calls are working properly for me.

The audio issues you are experiencing are nearly always related to router/NAT issues. Try adding STUN servers and/or explicit SIP/RTP port forwarding in your router(s).

Thanks for replying but none of this applies to my case.

I am not using a router so I can not change anything in the settings.
The calls are hitting directly Voxalot servers. No idea why it does not go through...

What's the provider being used to forward?

In the second scenario (where it works), do you have PBXes do the forwarding instead...?

No matter who I use to forward the calls (Acanac and Freephoneline), the result is always the same when trying to reach through SIP Broker numbers. However, it works OK if people call me through Sip uri.

In the second scenario (through PBXes) it does work regardless of the provider being used.

So, the problem is definitely related to SIP Broker.

Juste,

In your Voxalot account settings, is "Symmetric NAT Handling" set Yes or No? I suggest using the Yes setting.

What about "optimize audio path"? What setting are you using for that provider? I suggest using No.
