Voxalot's Web Call Back and IP address for Betamax FUP

Hello,

When calling via Voxalot's Web Call Back, what IP address is passed to Betamax by Voxalot?

Would it be the IP address of my WEB browser used to initiate connection? Or would it be the IP address of my ATA (if registered with Voxalot, but not involved in this call)?

Let's consider 2 scenarios:

1) My ATA is registered with Voxalot, so Voxalot does have a kind of my IP address.

2) My ATA is NOT registered with Voxalot.

Thanks.

When using WebCallBack, the IP passed is usually VoXalot's own IP (regardless of registered device)...hence why you may run into FUP troubles once in a while...

When using webcallback, i guess the IP address of the PC is passed, thats why we run into FUP. When I use VPN (using my university's IP) there is no FUP passed.

Which PC? Yours? And why its IP is so special that it causes FUP?

BetaMax asks for the IP of the originating server/device to be passed to them.

-When using an ATA/SoftPhone, the public IP of these is passed
-When using WebCallBack the VoXalot server IP is passed (hence FUP results in some cases depending on your and other VoXalot's users usage)
-When using BetaMax for CallForwarding purposes FUP may result as well (we've been having a discussion on whether it is the VoXalot server or the IP of the originating call that plays a role in this case)

Strike my previous post....Martin has taken the time to test out the setup:

-Calls from an ATA or SoftPhone pass on the public IP of the device/software
-Calls via WebCallBack pass on the public IP of the computer initiating the callback
-Calls via CallForwarding pass on the IP of the originating SIP Invite (eg. IP of the SipBroker access number where the call is coming from)...

What that means for this case however is that the FUP you're seeing with WebCallBack is not neccessarily well explained as a VoXalot fault (are you having any trouble with FUP with direct ATA/SoftPhone calls)...

I am using a mobile WAP-browser on my Fido handset. How can I check its Web address? I can only see/visit WAP-formatted websites/

How likely is that address used by other BetaMax users?
