Sure this has been talked about before, but I couldn't find it (the forum searches has always failed me).


Feature: sms-activated callback

Think a really simple protocol, like

user:pass theirnumber[@provider] [mynumber[@provider] [pause]]

mynumber would be optional and default to the CID.

user:pass could be a really simple token or even omitted
if combined with a well-known cid (if I, say, preregistered
my cellphone)

umm... emoticons, schmemoticons... ass should be pass with a colon in front although I guess it was clear anyway...

Sounds great to me! Maybe this could be part of VoxRoam! :)

Anyway, the above would be like a sms-enabled calling-card feature. Like the 'call with a registered number and we'll call back and give you a dial-tone' .

Voxroam sounds just like it.... I'd really need it now, but even when home in US it would rock for international calls from the mobile..
