[EU Server] Dial Plan & ATA Issues
Hi,
I am a recent convert to Voxalot and have set my account up on the EU server, I am however experiencing a couple of problems. 1) The previously working dialplans seem to have stopped working. The set up I am wanting is... Begins with 00 use Provider B (International Calls) Begins with 01 use Provider B (Domestic Calls) Begins with 02 use Provider B (Domestic Calls) Begins with 07 use Provider B (Domestic Calls) Begins with * use Provider C (Bridging to other VoIP) Begins with 1222 use Provider C (Gizmo Conferences) Begins with 1747 use Provider C (Gizmo Calls) Begins with 05 use Provider D (Domestic Freefone) Begins with 080 use Provider D (Domestic Freefone) When dialing any of 2, 3 and 4, the CLI is showing up as that of Provider A (used for incoming calls only) for some reason which I don't know. Incoming calls are completely unaffected, they all work perfectly. The second issue relates to the use of my ATA in comparison relates to call completion. When using the phone on the ATA to try and connect to 12220000000 (the Gizmo partyline) or any of the conference room system, I am unable to connect, despite having the dialing plan set to make all calls starting 1222 to use Sipphone. The anomoly with this is that when dialled from a softphone such as Express Talk or X-pro, the call is completed without problems. The same applies to any of the 1747 test/service numbers supplied by Gizmo/Sipphone. They won't work on the ATA/DECT phone combination, but work flawlessly as per the dialling rules with the softphone. If anybody has any insight on what I could do to resolve these issues, I would be eternally grateful. Thank you for reading. |
Edit: Hello Carl can you please retry and report your findings?

Hi Martin,
The dial plans now work again, they're routing through the correct provider. I am still having trouble dialing into the Sipphone networks service lines and conference lines using the ATA/DECT combination though (the Softphone route works perfectly). Do you have any advice regarding that? |
It's working to the SIPPhone network service numbers and the conference rooms now!
Don't know if something was broken or not but it's working perfectly now! Thanks! |

No nothing has changed but thanks for reporting. |

There are VoIP-in numbers available from some providers that begin 056. Some of these are enum-enabled as well (my Voipfone one seems to be, as I can dial it on Sipbroker as *01344560..., but I don't know if they all are) . |

It's not a major issue, all the sipphone numbers I have tried work, just not the main sipphone ones or the sipphone conference rooms. I might ask over at the Gizmo forums. Quote:

I found the solution by myself.
In the dialling plans, I had any number beginning 1222 set to route over SIPPhone. This was bringing up an engaged tone constantly. What I then did was to go into the same dialling plan to edit it in advanced mode. I then switched off the ENUM look-up and this corrected the issue with the conference rooms and SIPPhone service numbers (I did the same for all numbers starting 1747). As an additional note, UK Freefone numbers were being routed incorrectly when I had set them to go through SIPGate.co.uk, again, disabling the ENUM look-up corrected this and the UK Freefone calls were routed correctly through SIPGate. I hope this helps a little in return for the help I have received and asked for so far! :) |
Thanks for sharing Carl
