Voxalot and Gizmo out

I can't figure this out

1 - It register OK
2 - I can call an internal number such as 1747 474 ECHO to get the echo test
3 - Yet I can't get it to dial out to PSTN and YET if I dial out from my 3102 directly via GIZMO then it work.

This proves that my Gizmo account CAN dial out, that Voxalot can access the account correctly....but why it can't dial out?

2*1747471ECHO -> successful
2*0044xxxxxxxxx-> beep tone

2* is my dial plan to access Gizmo

#0044xxxxxxxxx -> successful

# is the code for the 3102 to dial via GW3 = Gizmo (same account)

Hi Tranworld,

I have Gizmo in my Voxalot account and it is working fine.

I'm sure there are many more qualified than I but I suspect it's the * in your dial plan that is causing the problem. If Voxlaot see's an * at the start of a number it will always pass the call to Sipbroker. ( Many topics on this in the forum ).

My advice is to get rid of the *.

Gizmo just happens to be Provider 6 for me so in my dial plan Pattern is _6. Then strip out the 6 with Replacement being ${EXTEN:1} This means every call I make starting with 6 is passed to Gizmo with the prefix 6 stripped out.

Hope this make sense

Best regards

Grahame

I have tried

Thanks Grahame for the suggestion. However note that I have used the * after the 1st digit, not as the 1st digit, and in all other provider it has worked OK. For example I dialled 1*xxxx and not *xxxx, so my dialplan looks like this:

1*xxxxx= Voipcheap
2*xxxxx= Gizmo
3*xxxxx= Aglow etc....

furthermore I CAN dial into Gizmo network number for example:

2*1747474666ECHO will give me the echo test thus this proves that the dialplan did pass the digits into Gizmo and not move to Sipbroker as you've suspected, indeed the "test dial" function also worked.

Nevertheless just to try I have amended it to eliminate the *, however the result is the same.

So Gizmo can be accessed, but dialout of Gizmo no, why?

I've also had Gizmo Project Call Out working fine in Voxalot for nearly two years. I have a pretty typical setup and configuration; no special settings for getting it to work for me other than that I found (two years ago at least) that I had to put Optimize Audio to NO for it to work right--and I haven't played with that setting since.

Yes my optimize audio is also set to NO.

The perplexing thing is that calling INTO Gizmo works, that seems to say that Voxalot is not involved any more, but somehow calling out of Gizmo didn't, again that seems to say that it is the Gizmo that is at fault BUT calling of Gizmo WITHOUT going through Voxalot also work (this seems to say that Gizmo IS working OK). Where do I start?

Found what was wrong! The domain was set to SIPphone - Call worldwide over your Internet connection with any phone, it should be set as proxy01.sipphone.com, yet it register OK, make internal calls OK, just won't call out !!! OK now
