Voicemail does not work for registered providers

Hello,

I have a few registered providers on voxalot but voicemail is not working for them. There is normal ringing followed by a busy tone instead of a voicemail, if an incoming call is not answered.
Apparently this problem exists only with registered providers. I have another one where I have SIP forwarding to XXXXXX@voxalot.com and it works just fine. If I call my Voxalot number using PSTN gateway (sip-broker) voicemail works fine as well.

This problem got noticed last Sunday but everything worked fine at least few weeks ago.

Does someone know how to fix this problem?

Thanks!

Sounds like the same problem as me:

I wonder, did you switch to the eu server last Sunday or just before?

No, I did not change anything at all. Providers are registered on US server.

Martin,

I'm also having major problems with VoXaLot voicemail. The symptoms vary:

1. The caller goes goes to voicemail immediately while my phone continues to ring until I pick it up. When I do pick it up, it's silent.

2. The caller hears ringing but goes to voicemail as soon as I pick up. I can hear the caller for an instant, but then it goes silent. A truncated or empty voicemail is generated.

3. Occasionally, things work correctly.

I haven't made any changes here or on VoXaLot. At the moment, I'm afraid to rely on getting calls delivered through VoXaLot.

Thanks guys. We have spent most of the day getting to the bottom of this problem and it turns out that the new call forwarding feature was having a negative impact on our voicemail system:

See Tony's post: http://forum.voxalot.com/showthread.php?t=1177

We have since turned of call forwarding to fixed line numbers (only URI and voicemail forwarding are currently active). Please check that voicemail is working as expected.

We apologise for any inconveniences caused.

Thanks for getting to the bottom of that one Martin. Everything is working exactly as it should now. The last piece in the puzzle for me - my Voxalot account is now doing everything I ever wanted from VoIP. A big thanks :) Tom.

Thanks for the update Tom. We are now busy trying to workaround the call forwarding problem.

We will keep you all posted.
