connect two ATA's to one voxalot account

Hello,

I had tested this configuration, but without succes.
- one voxalot account (15$)
- two ATA (siemens gigaset C450IP) connected to the same account

Now, only one ATA rings when an inbound call arrives.

My question is: is it possible that both ATA's ring, a the first that picks up the phone has the call.

Then I tried, next configuration:
- one voxalot account (15$)
- one voxalot account free
- two ATA (siemens gigaset C450IP); each connected to another account

I tried to set up call forwarding on weekdays between 9:00 and 16:00 from one voxalot account to the other.
So when I choose SIP URI, and I fill in sip:xxxxxx@eu.voxalot.com, I get the message "This Sip URI is invalid".

Can somebody help me?

thanks,

mario

Try to use different local SIP ports on your ATAs, i.e. 5060 on the 1st and 5062 on the 2nd.
As far as i know forwarding from one voxalot account to another will not work by design.

-In regards to the forwarding, if your the second VoXalot number you're forwarding to is xxxxxx then forward to *010xxxxxx@sipbroker.com

-Both ATAs registering on the same acct. should work....are they both registering (and whether or not you can receive calls, can they at least both place calls)

As green said try using port 5060 on one and 4060 on the second for example (especially if they are behind the same NAT). If there is an option to use STUN on the ATAs do so, and if you have the possibility to forward ports with your router, set it up so that traffic on 5060 and 4060 are forwarded to the specific ATAs.

Do update how it goes....

I don't fully agree with emoci, but his post refreshed my mind ;)

Try to use different local ports as I suggested earlier or different remote (server) ports. Check this thread http://forum.voxalot.com/voxalot-sup...oxy-ports.html

The idea behind this is to force your NAT device (router) to create completely different mappings for your ATAs.

This is how it looks within the router:
Code:

udp      17 170 src=my-local-ip dst=85.17.19.194 sport=5060 dport=5060 src=85.17.19.194 dst=my-external-ip sport=5060 dport=5060 [ASSURED] use=1 mark=257
Here 85.17.19.194 is the address of eu.voxalot.com, both client & server are using ports 5060/UDP (sport & dport).

STUN should not improve the situation but personally I'm always suggesting to have it enabled.
Port forwarding may help, as soon as Siemens does not support sending keepalives. Alternatively register expiration interval may be lowered to achieve the similar keepalive effect.

thanks all for reacting.

Both ATA's are not on the same location; so two different routers. But I made connection with the internet with one and the same user (provider by my ISP Skynet/Belgacom). So different IP adresses also I guess!

Sometimes ATA 1 rings, sometimes ATA 2 rings; I guess it depends on which ATA made the last call (or has the most recent connection).

I tried using call forwarding to sip:*10xxxxxx@sipbroker.com; without success (or do have to do something additional?)

Then follow the guidelines you already have - set the lower NAT refresh time (I was wrong about the absence of keepalives) or use port forwarding as emoci suggested.

It's gotta be *010 not *10 (unless it was a typo....)

Check PM also in regards to troubleshooting to see which devices are registered....

If you can confirm that VoXalot sees both ATAs registered, yet rings one or the other at different times, and this happens often enough that you can reproduce it if one of the tech guys needs to collect data, we can then try to have Martin or Craig look into it

Call forewarding now works: it has to be sip:*031xxxxx@sipbroker.com instead of *010 because i'm registered on the eu.voxalot.com and not the us.voxalot.com.

I will try the others things later on,

thanks!!!
