Feature Request: expire voicemail that's been emailed
Having voicemail e-mailed is a great feature! But if you listen to messages sent in e-mail, you still have to call voicemail (or log on for a premium account) to delete them from the voicemail box. Otherwise they stack up and prevent new messages from being left.
Chances are if voicemail is configured to e-mail the messages they will be heard that way and it would be very convenient if they were auto-deleted. Ideally, a voicemail that has been e-mailed would "expire" and be automatically deleted after a week or so. That would make the voicemail way more convenient. If a delay is hard to implement, I'd be fine with auto-deleting it as soon as it's e-mailed. It's annoying to deal with every message twice. Thanks for the great voxalot service! |
Martin,
Would it be possible to allow Voice Mail settings (at least on the Premium account), to be : 1) Voicemail on Phone with MWI, and emailed sound file (Current situation) 2) Voicemail on Phone with MWI, and emailed Notification , no sound file 3) Voicemail on Phone with MWI, no email at all 4) No Voicemail on phone, and emailed sound file Item 2 is of particular interest, since a notification emailed to a mobile mail account indicating time of call and CID is very handy. It is more convenient in many cases to listen to the voicemail on a regular phone via a SIPBroker Access number. The sound file can always be downloaded from the Voxalot Voice mail page if required for archiving purposes. Thanks |
2) sounds great and could be done in the Grandcentral style: a HTML email with a link that looks like an embedded player. But just when you click to listen it downloads the soundfile. The emails are quite small and have no attachements.
