Activate call forwarding when not registered - failover

Is there any way to set a call forwarding rule to be activated when my SIP device is not registered with Voxalot? This is essentially failover.

I have a Nokia E51 phone, which connects to the voxalot account via wifi in my two main locations. When I'm out of range of either wifi network (when the phone is not registered), I'd like incoming calls forwarded to the mobile number instead (from the voxalot account, using my dialling rules).

Is there any way to do this? I did see a message on here from late last year about failover being in development, but can't find a more recent reference.

I have a similar request - I'd like to be able to activate call forwarding rules VIA Voxalot (not my SPA) using a code - i.e. 231 (CF1), 232 (CF2) etc

23 = CF (Call Forwarding) and 0-9 could be used as rule numbers - toggling them on and off.

As all my calls, if not answered, are routed to a Voxalot extension, which goes to Voicemail, I'd like to have the option of setting diverts to my mobile as call rules (which I can) but NOT have to go to the website to activate them :)

I asked for this a long time ago and we still haven't got it. http://forum.voxalot.com/voxalot-sup...html#post14810 I have had a few outages since then.

Looks like I may need to start migrating to mysipswitch. I had heard that betamax has FUP problems with my sip switch though so I wish Voxalot would implement this?

Anyone know if the pbxes has got anymore reliable? I suppose the betamax FUP is an issue with pbxes too?

Thanks, it's good to know that I'm not the only one needing what is an essential feature for any VOIP service - rerouting if my connection down - and that there isn't any visible progress in getting that.

Since my Voxalot premium account comes up for renewal during the next month, seems like a good time to drop the paid voxalot.

One of my VSPs does have PSTN failover (and has had for a couple of years) so that'll do in the short term. Downsides: they're a bit far away, and the rates are not the cheapest, so it's still worth playing around with mysipswitch or something else eventually.

Does any member of the Voxalot team want to comment on when/if we are likely to see this feature?
