Call Forward Help needed.

2 Attachment(s)
Hi, I'm trying to set up a callforward account on VoXaLot so people in Australia can access a Phone Chat conference for Horse Back riding.

Here are the details.

PSTN GateWay: 1300 558 592
VoXaLot Acct#: 825825
Destination # : *9876 799 (DarkVoip Horse Chat conference).

*825 is an undocumented prefix for VoXaLot supported by the 1300 number.

The idea is when a person dials the 1300 number they can access the chat by entering 825825825

I have set up the VoXaLot account but it just comes up engauged unfortunalty.

Help anyone?

TNX

I'm guessing until someone else turns up. I'm assuming you haven't set up dialplan details, but I'm not sure you need to

do you mean with * prefix - i.e. *825825825 ?

Try selecting Sipbroker as the provider, and ... [edit]

Or try defining just the 799 room number in the one box, and select DarkVoip in the provider, rather than Dialplan (you'd need to have defined it as a provider though)

Otherwise, someone else will be along that knows more than me

Fixed, thanks!

Selecting SipBroker instead of DialPlan in the Forwarding options seems to have solved the problem.

Thanks!

oh - I'll have to re-edit that bit back in, as I thought I might have it wrong

I think I was a bit - well, never mind

Is there any way to check if that 1300 number is registered with ENUM?

That way I can do some testing via SIP for free.

Also do I assume that if a number is registered with ENUM, that when I dial it VoXaLot checks and route's it for free instead of applying it to the dial plan or passing it to the first provider in my list?

Try SIPBroker - ENUM Lookup

ENUM lookups also require the country code. So make sure your "ENUM Replacement" field adds the 61 in front (assuming the number exists in any of the ENUM roots).

Enum num num, Birdy Num Num. :)

Thanks Martin.

Doesn't look like they have registered the 1300 number with ENUM..

Oh well.

I tested it the triditional way at 25 cents a call!. :)

Perhaps you could suggest to the gate keeper that they register it?

I can't get any contact details for them unfortunatly but I see you know of them. (Oz-Ham). ;)

TNX again!
