Authorized username / registration
Hi!
I am trying to connect to a sip provider but the SIP 'User Name' is different from the SIP Authorization User Name'. This is easy to set in xlite, as there are two seperate fields for this, but how do I do this with voxalot? Is there anyway I can register with a provider (using voxalot) when these are different? Help appreciated! |
Try "SIP Authorization User Name'" with this only. It should work.

I know when using eyebeam I have to put both username and authorized username in, otherwise registration fails....
I'll give it a shot, but am not holding my breath! |
I still can't get this working...
I have tried using a format like: authname:username and username:authname in the username field, but it still does not register. Anyone know how to do this? I know I need both to be able to register correctly. |

Hi Martin,
Thanks for updating the provider page with the 'advanced' option! Its all working fine now! Cheers Mark |
markcs,
could you tell us what you put in the advanced mode ? Because I have the same problem with IPNESS (also other username and authentification name). Thanks, Davy |
Hi Davy,
I assume you have a different username and authorization user name. I transferred my settings from eyebeam and I put my eyebeam 'user name' into 'From User' and my 'authorization username' into 'Username'. The From Domain and Host Domain is the same and is the domain of the voip provider. Hope this helps. |
Actually has anyone got this working correctly? I still always get failed when trying to register with my provider, but I can dial out....
I have tried switching the user name and From User values but I still get 'failed' registration... Any ideas? |
