Port 5061, Linksys WRT54GP2
Hi, I too can't get my box to register with Voxalot.
I am trying to set up Voxalot on my second line / port of my Linksys WRT54GP2. It's port number is 5061. Port 5060 is being used by my engin account on the first line / port of the router. Is this whats stopping things from registering? The fact that I am trying to use port 5061? And no I don't want to put voxalot on the 5060 port and then run engin through voxalot. For now I just want to get it all running on the second line and understand it all and refine the setup before I muck with whats working on the first line. Any help appreciated. .-.-. |
The port within your Linksys defines the port for inbound messages into your device.
5061 is fine for line 2 and in fact is usually what most people set up. Even if you setup 5061 in your device, you must still point your outbounds to 5060 on any of the VoXaLot servers (or 4060, 3060, 2060 as this post outlines). If you are having problems registering I would suggest posting a screen capture of your settings. |

Posting a screen capture sounds like a good idea. Thanks. The next trick is working out how to do this. I tried a cut and past, but it doesn't show the settings. Only the headings. Can you recomend a format for doing this please? I am asuming I need some sort of software to capture the screen, and then I will need to find a free web site that allows you to post images? If so please suggest software / site to use. Thanks for your help. .-.-. |

Thanks for this. I've been mucking with this thing for days with no success. OK. Done, attached is a screen capture of my second port that I am trying to set up for Voxalot. Sorry about the image quality but I had to compress it to below 97k for the site to accept it. TNX .-.-. |
Try changing the "Register Expires" field to a value between 900-3600

Tried 900 and 1000. Where do I put the outbound port 5060 in? Which field in the captured screen I sent? .-.-. |

Out of curiosity are you allowing 5061 inbounds into your device. There isn't a firewall rule blocking inbound UDP on port 5061? |

The only two spots in the config I can see for port numbers is: Sip Port: 5061 ( I asume this is the inbound port) & Ext Sip Port: [Blank] (I have no idea what htis field is for) I have also tried entering 5060 and 5061 into both these fields in all the combinations possible. No Joy. .-.-. |
I'm not familiar with this device. A couple of other settings to try:
1. Change USE DNS SRV and DNS SRV Auto prefix to "No" 2. Try us.voxalot.com instead of au.voxalot.com (as a test only). |
