DNS SRV records for voxalot.com.au
I have been having some issues registering a Snom 320 phone to a Voxalot account. This phone uses DNS SRV records if they exist. Unfortunately, my default DNS server does not have the correct info. A nslookup returns the following:
Quote:
voxalot.com.au internet address = 202.60.75.46 At present I'm having to use the IP address which kinda defeats the purpose of the SRV record... Anyone else having issues with voxalot.com.au or voxalot.com? Cheers, Mark |
I can't duplicate your problem myself. I see the line that you are missing when I do the same request.

Looks OK from Linux as well:
martin@martin-laptop:~$ nslookup -q=SRV _sip._udp.voxalot.com.au Server: 192.168.119.2 Address: 192.168.119.2#53 Non-authoritative answer: _sip._udp.voxalot.com.au service = 1 0 5060 voxalot.com.au. Authoritative answers can be found from: voxalot.com.au internet address = 202.60.75.46 |
Thanks for the replies.
It definately depends on the DNS server that is used. My ISP is Bigpond and it took a few restarts before I found a DNS server that works. What a PIA. It begs the question... What info is actually replicated amongst DNS servers? |
