Not exactly VoIP, but with Fring maybe?
Okay, this story at WP:
Whirlpool News - Three launches X-Series mobile broadband Three to offer reasonable 3G data plans with phones capable of being used with Fring too. As part of the deal, Skype without SkypeIn or SkypeOut, has a free component for consideration; not that I can recommend Skype.... for obvious reasons. |
Interesting that they chose to incorporate Skype into their product range
|
Yes, but without SkypeIn and without SkypeOut -- they want to make all the 'pay for' revenue. That's what makes Fring an option for those with the right equipment. It will be interesting to know what kind of deal the N95 phones are going to have.

I have an E61 and VoIP works no problem over a 3G data connection using the built in VoIP functionality (without Fring). |
The E61 has been discontinued now... do you know what the replacement model might be?
I have a Motorola V3x -- wouldn't mind a SIP client for it to use over 3G network. But a phone that has WiFi would be better, hence the interest in the N95. In my time I've used quite a few Nokia's and deliberately went away to the Motorola after some bad experiences with Nokia CDMA phones. |
The E61 has WiFi. Check out E-Series as it has all the up to date info on these devices (including product announcements etc).

you can use fring and register voxalot there and use SIP calls. fring uses codecs that works fine with slower connection. |
